Available from Te Anau or Queenstown, we collect you from your accommodation and transport you to the waiting helicopter. From here your experienced, local pilot and guide will transport you to another world. One rich in bird and marine life, with towering ancient forests, remote sand dunes and crystal-clear rivers. Take pleasure in all this and more from above, then below, with a relaxed 3-hour guided hike.
Following your guided hike, a freshly prepared gourmet picnic lunch, made with an emphasis on local cuisine will be enjoyed in a remote location. Then you will return to civilisation via the famous Milford Sound, flying over Mitre Peak and Sutherland falls, richer in your understanding of this incredible landscape.
Ideal day with magnificent scenery
Martin’s Bay couldn’t have been more ideal! We had glorious weather and thrilling helicopter rides. Best of all we saw 6 adult penguins and one juvenile! We got quite close to them. We also enjoyed picnicking among the seals and the magnificent scenery.

A gourmet picnic lunch and refreshments are provided. If you have any dietary requirements please let us know prior to the day of travel so we can cater for these.
Departure Point
This excursion is available from Queenstown or Te Anau, you will be collected from your accommodation and transported to the waiting helicopter to begin your adventure.
What to Bring
There are some things we recommend you bring to make your day more enjoyable, please use this as a guide and if you have any questions please do not hesitate to ask. Please bring comfortable walking shoes, waterproof jacket, warm clothing including hat and gloves, sun screen and sun hat, camera, and personal medication if required.
We provide
Scenic helicopter flights, private taxi transfers from your accommodation, private guide, walking and photo opportunities, snacks, refreshments and a gourmet picnic lunch.
